Individual Therapy for Adults

Life can be really hard and sometimes we need additional support to help us through the tough times. Adulthood comes with it’s own challenges and I am here to help individuals on their journey. I help clients work through a variety is issues: anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship challenges, self-harm, stress navigation, changing family or friend dynamics, grief/loss, self-esteem, questions of identity, and themes related to the LGBTQIA+ community (and more…every person is unique and comes to therapy to work on their own set of challenges). I work in a relational, authentic manner to help the client gain more awareness of their experience, empower themselves, and find solutions and coping strategies that work for them. I am dedicated to growth, resilience, and well-being, and I prioritize trauma-informed care and social justice in my practice. Emphasizing authenticity and genuine connections, I integrate empathy, creativity, and humor into sessions rooted in Gestalt Therapy.

Individual Therapy for Children and Adolescents

Being a teenager is difficult enough, but being a teen in a major city like Los Angeles, can be an even bigger struggle. Pressure to excel academically, have extra curricular activities, and maintain relationships with friends and family can put an enormous burden on teens, especially when they have access to social media reflecting “perfect” images of others’ lives back to them. Depression and anxiety are very common among this age group and teens often find alternative ways to cope with the pressure and stress of life. Through therapy, I hope to give clients a space where they can navigate the various stressors in their lives, build self-esteem, and create healthy coping mechanisms.

I have an innate ability to connect with teens while also being able to communicate with parents as they work to guide and support their children outside of therapy.

I work with children ages 10 and up and often use play therapy techniques to help them identify and express emotions. Although every child’s situation is different, I believe it is important to help children create more awareness of their feelings, learn how to express their emotions in healthy ways, and also give the children tools to increase their emotional regulation.

EMDR Trauma Therapy

EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is an evidenced-based therapy that helps individuals to reprocess traumatic memories and to decrease symptoms consistent with post-traumatic stress disorder. If you have experienced trauma in your life, EMDR may be able to help. Together, we can determine whether or not EMDR therapy is right for you. Please inquire for more details.
